Since when did "Cheese! become the code word for "Jump!"?
I just wanted to take a simple picture of Sprite and her best friend since they were both dressed so nicely. Yet, as soon as I took the camera out of my purse, a strange phenomenon began.
Every time I prompted them to say "Cheese", one would jump.
First Sprite.
Then her friend.
Hm, Sprite again. (Hey, she can take turns! It IS possible!)
(Action shot.) (Fifteen others were deleted since you couldn't tell where one began and the other ended.)
So, I decided to psyche them out and recorded the "photo session" to capture what it's really like to get ONE STINKING PHOTO.
Don't let them look at the camera.
Dang! She caught me!

I love that Sprite's hairbow even matches her dress. I was lucky to get my boys dressed in the morning let alone matching things.
Very cute Hams you got there.

So true! You may have noticed that HJ are rarely looking at the camera LOL. Those girls are adorable, btw - I love that they both have on polkadots. I'm with Michele, so thankful I only have to worry about the basic clothing items and an occasional hair combing ;-) Happy weekend!

Adorable!
Honestly, I never bother with the whole cheese thing. It rarely works for me either. I'm becoming much more adept at candid shots...

wait until she's a teen/tween! They have to make weird faces - smiling is SO gauche (apparently.). It was nearly impossible to get my daughter to simply smile in her cap and gown without either her, her boyfriend, or one of her friends pulling a face. on purpose. The ONE pic I have of her smiling has my other daughter's boyfriend lurking in the background making a weird face in the hopes that I would post the picture on the Bombed site.
*sigh*
But, Sprite and her buddy are awfully cute!

hahahaaaaaa - my sister would totally relate to that......she says it is IMPOSSIBLE to get her 3 in a photo together all smiling at the same time......you have to laugh......

I love it! I swear two year olds are the most hyper creatures I've ever seen. Who's the poor kid in the background getting told to eat his waffles? Why is nobody trying to force feed me waffles?

My nephew decided at about at age 15 that when someone sets their finger down on a shutter button, he would flip them the bird. We have many many pictures of all the kids in the family that we have to crop to exclude his finger. Now he's 19 and he's got it down to move his middle finger in front of his face.
Endearing, no?

Oh, but they are so so cute!
I left something for you over on my blog.

I can see how it would be hard to sit still while saying, "Cheese!" It's such an exciting word. We currently have a poser, and it can be very funny the poses he takes the minute the camera comes out. I think he thinks he is a fashion model or something.

Oh, so adorable. And I love that now "cheese" means "jump." Does that mean y'all are going to have grilled-jump sandwiches???

It is so cute! They are adorable! Sorry about the photo thing, but I've learned I have to be stealth and not let them know I'm there. Which obviously did not work for you in that last photo. :-)

Why do they make it so hard?
My son won't sit still long enough to get a photo either.

They're so adorable. I love seeing Sprite in action for a change. ;) My two year old loves posing for shots, he'll always stand still, but as soon as that flash goes off he makes a beeline for the camera. He loves to look at himself more than he loves to pose.

awwwwww, so CUTE! And I love Sprite's hair!

I think they are adorable! For what it's worth both of mine are grown but can still spot a camera zoomed in on them 100 yards away and will immediately strike a pose. No candid shots in this family. LOL
