I've abandoned all driver modification efforts with my husband. 'Cause, even when I'm right I'm wrong.

Ha, that sounds like us except that I'd be playing the part of John. Oh, and my daughter is going under the knife as I type this. What kind of parent does that make me that I'm blogging right now?

*sigh* I have that conversation ALL the time, but I'm the one driving.

Beloved NEVER gets lost. NEVER.

Life is SO unfair...

You know, I kind of feel bad for John... You just revealed that he is a man who needs to ask for directions.

heee. That's my husband and I, but I am the directionally challenged one. There is one city in our area where I beat him in navigational skills, but that's it. I'm map-illiterate.

Cute post!

THis exact conversation could have happened within the confines of our car. Love it. Esp. that he called you out on the post subject.

That is awesome. I love good stories.

Ymmmmm. Don't you guys have a GPS???

Perfect. Just like Skip and I. Now whenever we go anywhere it's a race to the driver's seat. Neither one of us can stand the other's driving!!

I have learned my lesson on speaking when the hubby is driving, it just causes him to use more profanity than is really needed.

Maybe you should drive?

My hubby likes to give me helpful (but unnecessary) hints while I'm driving. Drives me crazy.

I've found that if I close my eyes, DH's crazy driving doesn't bother me as much. Though he rarely gets lost (that my Eldest's trick), his driving makes me nervous. He claims my driving is just as bad.

Haaa...that's me!!! I should "know" where I'm going since the Mountains are ALWAYS west...but, I still get turned around!!!

that was funny. my poor hubby knows he isn't good with exits and such. i'm the official navigator when we go out of town. his main problem is that sometimes the navigator isn't 100% sure which way to go and makes last minute lane change decision and he can't keep up with me. i'm much better at cutting across three lanes and then slamming on the brakes to make an exit. guess that's the difference between growing up in the city vs the sticks. :)

I've got one word for you... GPS! It's the only reason I didn't end up in Utah when I went to Blissdom.

You women have it easy...we provide fodder for you constantly.

THIS is why you guys will be married FOREVER. Not till death do you part...FOREVER!

<3

hehe Three cheers for the backseat driver and the directionally challanged husband! : )

That's hilarious that he knew you were gonna post this. He knows you all too well. Maybe you should just drive from now on. Of course...what woud you blog about???

Thankfully, the GPS (we call her Betty) tells my husband where to turn. All I have to do is hold on for dear life.

At least he recognizes a good post when he sees one. :)

Mwa ha ha! Sometimes the fish just jump in the boat and sometimes you have to wait patiently for a bite. In this case, your fish just gave it up.

LOL-hilarious! I taught my husband how to drive; do you think that keeps him from "backseat" driving. They should trust us more! Love that he knew you'd post on this!

That all sounds very familiar. My husband (not to make your husband feel less special) is the King of Shortcuts That Lead Us Hours Out Of Our Way.

Also, I don't even know what a turnpike is. I don't think we have them here. And, they have now started numbering all the freeway exits in California, which is very confusing.

I'm sorry, that has nothing to do with your post. Got off on a tangent, there.

Nothing like bickering in the car to inspire a good blog post...
