Hey, HASAY! Hey, what?
Hey, HASAY! Hey, what?
As far as weight loss goes this week,
I didn't make the cut!
(That is the WORST cheer I have ever made up.)
(Ok, it's the only cheer I've ever made up.)
I'm watching the Super Bowl as I write this, and STILL marveling over #92 who intercepted the Cardinals' ball in the END ZONE and took it 100 YARDS for a touchdown and a world record for the Steelers. In the words of Carrie, "Boo-yah!" (I wasn't even rooting for a team, but after that? Steelers, baby!)
Oh, you wanted the stats, didn't you? Let me give it to you in football form:
John: Down one (First down?). He says he's even. His gym visits have been TACKLED by work demands, so he's been working a lot of OVERTIME.
Me: Down one. Woo-hoo! After weeks of SCRIMMAGING and playing DEFENSE against the two pizza parties in my office, I've finally SCORED!
Yeah, that's enough football talk. I'm calling a PERSONAL FOUL. (When I read this tomorrow, I will be shaking my head and deliberating whether or not I should delete that last line, but I'll probably leave it in as a lesson to myself. I know me so well.)
So, switching up the treadmill has been a challenge, but a welcome one. The five minute spurts sprints have taken the usual hour and a half I dedicate to it and smushed it down into 90 trim minutes of fast forward. What does this mean? It's the same amount of time spent, but it goes by a lot quicker. ( I could have just written that second line and summed it up nicely instead of subjecting you to the verbal spew before it, but I'm probably going to leave that in too. It makes for nice tangents in which I make fun of myself.)
Holy crap! Arizona just took the lead! With two minutes left in the game! I like that kind of mettle in a team. Go, Arizona! ... What?
30 Day Shred is still shredding. I'm still on Level 1. Why? Because Jillian is still kicking my ass! (Which does feel a bit tighter, if I say so myself. Oh, look! I just did.)
But that's not what I want to tell you about this week! I want to talk about the food. I made a major produce purchase at Costco today, bringing home some beautiful peppers for hummus dipping (making for some excellent snackage),
ruby red strawberries,
ripe tomatoes, and almost full to bursting oranges
which will be well used this week as John and I try to incorporate more vegetables than we already have. This means a salad will accompany dinner every night. (I'm doing as much prep work as possible now so I don't come home from work tomorrow with Sprite clinging to my leg demanding a cheese stick as I survey the fridge and ask the lettuce to chop itself.) Hopefully, the additional fruits and veggies will keep the unhealthy snacks at bay for John since I'm packing his lunch full of good nibbles. RABBITS don't eat this well, people.
Omigod! Steelers have less than a minute and are on the 5 yard line. They could take the game! Go Steelers!
They got the touchdown! They got the touchdown! Steelers took it! I knew they would do it!
(Huh. I'm suddenly craving waffles now.)
(Oh, yeah! You have until 12:01AM on Saturday to get your 1 comment in on our outstanding quilt give away! Click here!)

Hey Jen Heidi wrote on her blog. Yea! I just had to get that out. The food looks good but I can't dip it in Hummis. Yek. John must be tired. Don't work him too hard. See you on Sat.

Costco produce ROCKS.
Next thing you know, you'll be buying a SuperDuperBlender from Costco, and making all kinds of smoothies.
Not that I'd know this from experience...

OK, that's it. This is the week I am busting a move back to the gym. I've been a slacker for two months now, and it's time to get with it!!!

That food looks healthy but good too. Thanks for the play by play, I was half-watching the game until it got really exciting at the end. Then it got my full attention, it was NUTS! Good work with keeping up with the exercise and shredding and all of that jazz. Good luck this week!

That's hilarious.. I was doing the exact same thing. I love this stream of conciousness. And the football lingo.. WOW. I thought my house was bad. (:
At least it's over until Fall/late summer.

I'm so glad you are incorporating more fruits and veggies into your diet.
BTW, we are all in mourning here in AZ. So close, so close. *sob*

While the goodies look yummy, I must admit I did not watch the Super Bowl. Before today, I didn't even know who was playing.
Oh, and by the way, you're tagged.
And the duplicate comment about the quilt was an error. I thought my first one hadn't registered. Then I found it after I made the second one. Color me stupid.
