Reading all your Spins this week has been a needed reminder for me in that not everyone is thankful for the same things. Some people are thankful for their immediate world, some are thankful for the very thoughts in the heavens.
I am thankful for life, love, freedom, friends old and new, a roof over my head, food in my belly, love in my heart, songs in my ear, thoughts in my head, a virtual neighborhood of some of the dearest people I could only be so lucky to call friends, health in my body, a friend and confidant in my husband, and a child who reminds me every day that I have so much to be thankful for.
You know what else I'm thankful for? This week's Spins:

Next week's assignment: Holiday Newsletter.
Ugh. I hate these. (And we just got our first one a couple of days ago.)
They read like a Who's Who list, how the kids are acing subject after subject, hubby got 8 promotions in the last year alone and is now practically running the company. Wifey has been spending her days overseeing the cleaning of her home ("I don't know where I found the time before our Rosita joined the family!") and volunteering while being able to run the PTA. Blah blah blah, green grass, green grass...
Pull out this year's calendar and write it up, a holiday newsletter to your family and friends telling them about your year. Make it as serious, funny, sarcastic, hammy, crazy as you want. Did your five year old find a cure for the common cold? Tote that achievement! Did you win the lottery and spend half the year globe trotting? Spread the love! (And the wealth!) Did nothing at all change in your life except the date and you have absolutely nothing to write about? Well, that should be a quick read, indeed.
Write em up, lick a stamp, and send it SASE to the Spin Cycle!
Remember to get them in by December 5! (Seriously? We're at the end of the year already?)
(FYI- I am going to be one of the insane people joining in Black Friday, please don't ask why, I may burst into tears, so I will be out and about from 3AM until about midday. I may not have a lot of time to check for new Spins, but I will get them linked as quickly as possible before 3PM. Again, I am not a smart person. If I was, I would be sleeping until the Sprite was ready to get up and she's proving lately that she's NOT a morning person. Sleeping in.. Seriously, tears at the ready!)
See you next Friday on the Spin Cycle!

What did you do to DeeMarie on that spin cycle. She's in there 6 times (yes, I counted!).
did she get stuck in there or are you horsewhipping her until she produces the goods!

I used to try to make my whole Christmas letter rhyming.
Yep, I bet people used them to wipe their butts and light their fires. Sad.

OMG!!! i have to write a newsletter? This is not going to be pleasant - I will have to figure out what happened all year@! All them percocets and 800mg Ibuprofen really did a job on my brain cells!!!
Oh and huge shout out to you from I-95!! I know you are an I-75er but whatever!!!! Have fun - let me know if Sawgrass/Broward/Coral Square (Whichever you went to) was really THAT bad!

TOP 10!!!!
Great spin this week! I think I read every single post, lol! I'm also thankful for the virtual neighborhood, and the friends I've made in the blogosphere. I never knew blogging would be so fun ;).
Newsletter, eh? Mine reads more like a status report, heh.
Happy (Black) Friday!

And next weeks spin will be really interesting seeing as when I get one of "those" letters I don't even read it, just toss it in the trash. (I know, that's really bad hu?!?)

You are a far braver woman than I to venture out on this day... I only went to the he flipping grocery store and IT was jammed.
::hides until Xmas shopping season is over::

hi! New follower here... Love your blog, esp the spin cycle! Gonna join up very soon.
Hope the shopping went well! (I always say I am gonna do the early bird shopping thing but then I never get my butt out of bed... Sad! Plus the crowds where I live are enough to cause a major panic attack in the parking lot alone! Blech!) Definitely let us know how you did.

Love that picture of Sprite on the swing, she's such a cutie (and a great reason to be thankful!). Hope you scored big with the shopping today...

My post of 11/26 probably qualifies. There are so many reasons to be thankful, especially the people that have helped me in my life.
