He has perfect pitch. Not a lot of people can lay claim to that talent. He can pluck a song at random on a piano and play in 10 minutes what can take anyone else MONTHS to accomplish. He acts like it's nothing, but it impresses me every time.
He likes his food spicy, even though he claims his personality is not. He will add hot sauce or vinegar to a dish almost in habit, even if the dish may not need it or the combination may be considered repulsive to others. His personality is mild, but has a lot of flavor, and needs no seasoning.
He knows his way around a computer. He can diagnose almost anything, dabbles in Network Administration even though his strength is in Support, and can find a shortcut around any problem. He embraces his geekness and promotes it. He is proud of how far he has come in such a short time and yet humble in self promotion. Just this weekend, he stepped in and helped my aunt overcome a video malfunction in an integral part of her presentation, and sidestepped the accolades that followed.
He is snarky. Sometimes. He loves to laugh, loves to comment, and loves to try to keep up with me. Sometimes, he loses badly. Sometimes, he kills me with the roll he is on. The inconsistency keeps me on my toes and my funny bone on alert.
He is romantic. Sending me flowers is not enough. When I have a bad day at work, he swings by Starbucks for my favorite drink before he picks me up so he can make me smile, just a little.
He is loving. He has his daughter's favorite jingles on his IPod playlist right next to his music for when she wants to hear it. They disappear into his office almost every night while I clean the kitchen and he searches out interactive programs to watch with her. "Wheels on the Bus" is often heard as he and Sprite sing along.
He is all-encompassing. He never talks himself out of anything. He also considers others before himself. He keeps his family first and foremost in his mind. He is not perfect and knows it. He is accepting of his faults. He is embracing of his quirks. He is embracing of mine.
He is my voice of reason. He is my shoulder to rest my worries. He is my safe haven from the storm. He is my protection. He is my courage. He is mine. And I am his.
Happy anniversary, John.
(You know this means I love you, right? THIS IS YOUR ANNIVERSARY CARD!)
(I know, I couldn't make it to the end without snark. Sorry.)

Awwww, very sweet. I think I might have misted up a little. Or maybe that's just because my husband drank the last Coke and the lack of caffeine this morning is making me a little soft..
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Here I was thinking I had snatched up the last decent guy in Florida. Seems there was one left after all. I'm glad you were the one to snag him :)

Happy Anniversary! Has it been 6 or 8 years now? I know that Helene was exactly one year away from you but since my brain is completely detached from my body- I can't remember which way.
Anyways, I hope you had a nice anniversary.

Thanks, all! Ali, it's been 6 years of marriage, although sometimes it feels like 6 months, and sometimes like 6 decades. This weekend, it felt like 6 seconds because everyone kept saying "you've been married how long? Weren't we at your wedding just last year?"
So much snark this weekend! Must fill you in!

Crap! I wanted to give you credit, Wicked Step Mom and John reminded me to give you credit for adorkable, but then the bed called to me and I couldn't resist it and I fell asleep and I'm sorry. (Hanging head in shame.)
