John was in charge of bedtime while I went food shopping tonight and had an epiphany. (Funny how he has them whenever I'm not in the house..)
He decided Sprite should lose the bars and try sleeping without slats for once so he set her up in her couch/bed cushion for a trial basis.
I came home to this.
He told me she fell asleep the way she normally falls asleep in her crib, by reading to her dolls and calming down.
She seems ready. Do you think she's ready? John thinks she's ready..
Everyone is telling me she's ready.
Am I ready?

It's so hard to give up their babyhood. I had a hard time getting Tripp out of his bassinet because I knew he'd be my last. So I would wake up with him cramped in sideways, freaking out because *what if he couldn't breate*!
She looks ready. Welcome to the next stage of mommyhood. :)

I know, it's hard. Well, for some...look at this way...at least she went in a crib. Due to many medical issues with Jonathan he still sleeps in my bed, with a toddler bed next to me that I'm supposed to put him in but we never seem to wake up enough for me to do that. Hubby was going to put the toddler bed up while we were on vacation but tonights the last night of our vacation and...there is no toddler bed up. Hmmmmm...so he is still in our bed with his bed next to it until Hubby gets around to putting it together.
It's hard to see them grow up, though, isn't it? It really is...I'm getting weepy thinking about it ...
