I am a product of the 80's. Well, actually, I'm a product of my parents, but influenced by the 80's.
Due to the fact that the writer's strike did nothing to postpone re-run season, I went through my DVD supply and came upon an oldie I stole borrowed from my parents, "Flight of the Navigator".
I turned on the movie and tortured the Nord as I went back in time to mall hair, "Scuz Bucket", and Sarah Jessica Parker before she was Sex-ified.
I don't believe I ever felt the tread as I lost interest in counting minutes and started to remember everything I liked about this movie.
Cheesy special effects, cute child stars who would soon disappear into oblivion, and the guy from "WKRP in Cinncinnati". It all worked for me and brought me back to a time when I didn't worry about mortgages, and childcare, and periods. (Yeah, those pretty much suck.)
Now, I just need a copy of "Space Camp" and a CD of New Kids Greatest Hits and that will pretty much sum up my 80's experience.
"Compliance!"

I LOVE THAT MOVIE! Between that and any muppets movie, I would be set.

Oh my goodness, that was my FAVORITE movie of all time! My sister and I must have watched that movie every day for months.

Flight of the Navigator and Space Camp are two of my all time faves!! Wow, what memories...I'm going to have to get Elly to rent from Netflix. Don't forget Never Ending Story, too!

Neverending Story was a favorite, but the "nothing" scared me. :-)
